Anthony "CRASH" Wayne

Co-Founder, Principal Designer

Anthony “CRASH” Wayne is an Emmy-nominated Lighting Director, Designer, and Programmer whose two decades in the industry have made him one of the most trusted creative-technical voices working in live events today. As Co-Founder and Principal Designer of Mesmeric Designs, he brings together sophisticated technical mastery with a sharp creative instinct, delivering lighting and visual experiences that elevate concerts, festivals, broadcasts, and immersive productions around the world.

Beginning his career in 2002, Anthony quickly established himself as a hybrid specialist—equally at home shaping the visual language of a show as he is engineering the systems that power it. His expertise spans lighting design, MA3 programming, advanced network solutions, touring workflows, and rapid-turnaround conversion of touring shows into one-off televised or festival formats. He is known for crafting a flattering and intentional quality of key light, particularly for multi-camera live broadcast—an expertise that contributed to his teams’ Emmy nomination for Elton John’s historic “Dodger Stadium” concert.

Anthony has served as Lighting Director for Post Malone over an intensive two-year period spanning three worldwide tours, along with multiple other touring artists. His touring and broadcast work has taken him across the globe and onto some of the largest stages and festivals, including Coachella, Stagecoach, UNTOLD, Open Air, The Town, and Spilt Milk. He is also a proud member of IATSE 728, further cementing his commitment to professional excellence within the craft.

Across California, Hawaii, and beyond, Anthony has built a diverse portfolio of clients that rely on his technical fluency, reliability, and collaborative approach. Whether designing, programming, or leading full-scale show direction, he is known for delivering clean, intentional results under pressure—guided by the mantra he lives by both personally and professionally: “Be the change you want to see in the world.”

Despite his extensive accomplishments, Anthony remains grounded and dedicated to pushing the boundaries of his craft. He approaches every project with humility, precision, and a genuine desire to create unforgettable experiences for audiences worldwide. As he often says, “This job is hard enough—I don’t need to add to it.”
